About Us
Hawthorne Seniors Care Community is operated by the Port Coquitlam Senior Citizens’ Housing Society, a not‑for‑profit organization serving the Tri‑Cities since 1958. Our people‑centred approach is grounded in trusted partnerships and a deep commitment to and respect for seniors.
Living at Hawthorne
Living at Hawthorne supports residents and tenants in enjoying life, with services such as meals, housekeeping, and laundry. Our dedicated teams maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where seniors can feel confident and at home.
Campus of Care Programs
Hawthorne is a true campus of care, thoughtfully designed to support seniors and their families. We offer a robust Day Program for Older Adults, 70 assisted living suites, and 131 long‑term care beds. All programs and services are publicly funded through contracts with Fraser Health Authority.
Hawthorne has been a leader in senior care in our community for over five decades. From the programs we have implemented to the food we serve and the recreational activities and therapies that we offer, our service to seniors has always been informed by a strong code of ethics and an equally strong commitment to the core values that we hold dear.
Hawthorne Lodge
Hawthorne Lodge is part of our Long-Term Care program. The Lodge provides services to individuals with complex health care needs, who require 24-hour support and supervision.
Hawthorne Cottages
The Cottages provide secure, home-like living for independently mobile individuals with dementia or other psychogeriatric conditions. The first of their kind in the Lower Mainland, The Cottages are part of Hawthorne’s Long-Term Care program.
Hawthorne Tower
Hawthorne Tower is our Assisted Living community, supporting seniors to live independently in a supportive setting. Tenants enjoy private suites with meals, housekeeping, and laundry, as well as personal support as required.

Dogwood Seniors Housing
In addition to Hawthorne, the Port Coquitlam Senior Citizens’ Housing Society also operates our sister community, Dogwood Seniors Housing, which offers subsidized rental housing for seniors with a limited income. For more information, please call 604‑941‑3326 or email pocoseniors@telus.net.
